Stunning image, those guys must be meticulous with the upkeep of those costumes
Thank you, John! Yes, they certain did that for 12 days. They spot washed certain parts and the costume and fixed loose things, etc. Thankfully, the carnival is held in the winter. So, they don't sweat, at least not that much .
BTW, on that image, it looks like Paolo posed just for me and there was nobody else around, huh? Well, to a certain degree, yes, he did but I am not kidding when I tell you that there were at least 30 or so people behind me and around us. There were a lot of people that wanted to have their pictures taken with him and they pushed towards him slowly but surely. He told me afterwards that it took him 2 hours to walk back to his hotel, a distance that would normally take 7-8 minutes or so to walk back from that spot. People stopped him to either take his pictures or pose with him while family members took their pictures and that happened every 5 steps or so .

Well, it looks like I'm a big, fat liar -- I found a few more snowy, slushy scenes from a marshy area adjacent to the Grays Harbor (Community) College.
Wow. I am getting dizzy with how far behind I am on this thread.
Rene / Xwing, the castle silhouette may be my favorite of your many images so far. It has tremendous drama.
Ronny, love the flower detail on this image.

Few shots from the Dulles Air & Space Museum with the FE 16-35/4; noise handling of a7II is just amazing. Shots at 6400 ISO might as well have been 200 on my 5D Mark II:
