Well, you did it already . Since you are not selling the picture(s), that shouldn't be a problem. Great image! You must have taken it from a higher angle and based on my recollection from being there last year, I don't remember seeing anything where you could go higher to get that angle. At any rate, that's one heck of a picture, just a tad on the yellow side for my taste. I hope you don't mind my saying that.

Hello Joshua,

Thank you for your comments; I was wondering whether it would be better to remove the two photographs from

Henry, I am very flattered....

She will be happy with the images, Alfredo! Your exif data doesn't display the aperture nor the shutter speed used. That's odd....

Hm, nobody mentioned anything about what I wrote in my previous post..... GreggF and Jim (Gunzorro) must not be online yet for today. Here are two more images of her.

This morning, I got to try out a friend's lens, while he tried my Loxia 35. Needless to say, we were both impressed!

I think I can resist, but it won't be easy.

OMG!! Joshua! You are awesome!!!!

WOW!

Not only is this model smoking beautiful, but you have put her so at ease that I'd think she is a professional model.

You are magical.

Sorry I can't think of any smart-alecky remarks. I posted my 24-70GM shot before seeing your two shots here, only saw your first shot before going out to Descanso Gardens.

Maybe I should apply to be your assistant/valet/camera gopher?

Sorry -- what did you write in your previous post -- I'm a little discombobulated right now!

very good. Pulled all these shadows from a single RAW shot, or bracketed?

Single RAW, I've never found bracketing to be necessary on the A7 since the shadow data is so clean.

Thank you Joshua! And thank you for your previous comments on my pier shots from a few pages back. Somehow I missed it.

I see the shutter speed displayed but not the aperture. That is weird that you can't see either.

Wow, those are some good looking portraits of your subject!. Very well done in some tricky lighting. Speaking of which, how did you light her?

Hi Jim, I was just joking about having a friend that owns a saloon. I must have been bored when I posted that .In actuality, it was shot in a studio last night and yes, she is a model but not a full-time one. Please read further in my reply to Alfredo.

Thank you, Alfredo! That shot was done inside a studio and not in a saloon although the idea was to render that look. There were 6 models and 6 setups in the studio. This particular light was setup by another photographer. It consists of a single beauty dish in the upper right and two gelled kicker lights on both sides. The beauty dish is fine but the kicker lights spilled over onto her face. If only the hair it would be fine but if the face affected is not so good. It had to do also with the place where the model stood. I didn't recognize it right away in the first images but I moved her away closer to the beauty dish but away from the effect of the kicker light. I will post images taken at my setup later on.

Purchased the A7RII a week ago. Slapped the 90mm Summarit-M 2.4 with VME and hit downtown Sacramento to explore both the camera and lens. I haven't used the 90mm Summarit very much. After the shooting with the lens a bit, I think I might sell it as I prefer my 90mm Elmarit-R more.
