They do offer it We were standing around the airport at KTM waiting to hear if our flight to Lukla was going to be cancelled again and this huge throng of Chinese tourists came in with Phase One's around their necks. I assumed they were trekkers but no they were in line for the mountain scenic flight.
Helicopter only takes cash...I went and drained the ATM. (Apologize for this gauche display of personal resources but it's not really that much money in USD and the trip wasn't going to happen without it)
Mike -- Awesome shot of the glacier and mountains! Worthy subject for that lens!

I am soooo glad I bought this Loxia 35! Loving, loving, loving it. Thanks again to Chuck Coyne!
To those who didn't "take" to it -- my condolences. But out of consideration for all the praise for the Loxia 21, I'll have to look at that as my next lens for the a7R2. I mean, if the Loxia 35 is considered sort of crappy, what could the 21 produce? It's got a lot of hype to live up to!
Same technical M.O., and taken within minutes of the previous shot.
Werner, even by your standards, totally amazing shot of the station! 8 shot pano with 10mm... wow!!!
Joshua, René, more intimidation!
Mike, even the idea of carrying that 28 Otus so high up.... and a great shot!
Agentbird, love your shot!
Gregg, thanks for the kind mention, and very nice set!
Jim you make that Loxia sing!

Jim,
You're making that Loxia 35 really sing! Yes, the Loxia 21 is an awesome lens and one that I sold once and immediately regretted it and re-purchased it almost before my used one was delivered to the lucky buyer! I now have the Loxia 21, 50 and 85 and really like using them all.

Wow...had a hectic weekend last, a crazy week, and I missed several pages!
Ronny...superb grabs. All of them. Thank you(a little late I think) for some Loxia 50 grabs. That lens is great, especially in your hands! A good compliment to the 21 I think
Joshua...awesome as usual. I heard you picked up a Firin 20👍🏻
Have to go back and give more likes.
Usual suspects...Helena, Rich, Bob, Jim, Rene, Derek, Philippe, pepjin, Werner, and anyone else I missed...awesome!

This lens has its quirks no doubt, but stopped down really shines. It def bests my my fav 35mm.(Contax 35-70@35mm) by a good margin. ...Show more →
Thank you, Gregg! Hey, when did you take pictures of my house ? Great images off the Loxia 35mm. It just shows that the old Contax 35-70 shows its age, huh?

Thank you! Don't feel intimidated, Philippe but do feel compelled to go out there and use your camera. That's all I am doing and nothing more.
Here are two more portraits under fairly low light conditions from Venice. Both the 35mm f/1.4 and 85mm f/1.4 GM were used at wide open and they kicked some serious b*tt. I could get a fairly high shutter speed but could keep the ISO low for noiseless images at the same time.
Still experimenting with my Lensbaby Sweet 50 and trying all sorts of subjects and apertures. I really look forward to nature waking up and spring flowers to appear! These are mostly from around the harbor, all on A7.

Which? The house with the pool? Or the other? The other, which you cannot see, has an incredible view of all Monterey and Santa Cruz and the Bay.
Jim...the Loxia 35 stopped down is superb. Wide open it has some funky bokeh, imo. But colors and contrast are def NOT lacking
Helena...keep shooting with that 50. I really love your grabs!
