Ronny your images are just consistently "WOW" from the smallest macros to grand landscapes. And all the others who inspire daily, Joshua, Dale, Jim, Chuck, Mike, Tim, Bob, Manuel, Philippe, Gregg, Werner, Helena to name a few it's a joy to look forward to your posts.

Here's a couple panos handheld with the 24-240 FE from a boat in San Diego Bay. Fog was rolling in but nice full moon rising over the city.
Butch -- Nice shots of San Diego! Thanks for you kind words.
Helena -- You continue to make outstanding shots with your Lensbaby Sweet 50! I think I'd mentioned a while back that your progress with the Lensbaby had impressed me and inspired me to take it along on my trip to the Pacific Northwest US. I didn't really take many shots, having the Loxia 35 shortly after I began my month+ there, but the nature results seem promising. Here a few of my results.
Here are a few others shots, comparing the Lensbaby @ f/8 to Canon EF 50/1.2L wide open.
A little background: I started out with a little walk in the neighborhood woods during a break in the rain, using the Lensbaby. After I finished, I came back to the house and switched out for the Canon lens, then went back out and retraced my steps, reshooting a few of the same subjects. All shots are hand held, and no attempt was made to try to reestablish the same shooting positions. Additionally, the light has changed and the air became drizzly by the time completed the Canon circuit. The PP was individual for each image, not simply sync'ed for one to the other -- in other words, there was no intention to try to clinically duplicate the images, just present the same subject with the different interpretations and show aspects like how DOF and lens aberrations can have significant effect on the "look".
It's kind of amazing to see the relation between these two lenses. I was surprised in comparison how much clarity and DOF the Canon seems to have at f/1.2 compared to the Lensbaby at f/8. There are times I want more selective focus and restricted DOF than the 50L can provide, without moving to a longer focal length (changing the entire appearance due to narrower angle of view). Lensbaby is a worthwhile, if novel, addition to my collection.
First image of each set is Lensbaby, second is Canon.

This thread continues to be fast and furious!
Werner - you continue to put out winners.
Ronny - you are justifying why Loften is on my list.
Joshua - stop it!! I don't need another lens right now!, e.g. 85 f/1.4.

This morning there was a very brief explosion of color during sunrise. It literally lasted only a couple of minutes. I ran down to the lake and without gloves (It was 5 degrees F) and captured a few quick images. Then I realized I shot these in jpeg instead of raw. However, the colors and intensity of the colors are real. Moments later, it was overcast and gray.
Beautiful colors, Bob! I went to Washington DC Sunday morning to shoot the sunrise. The colors were just like that, purple, like the shot below. The shots before this one had even more intense colors but for some reason the buildings all showed "ghost", either from the strong wind or my dog walking around the tripod.
