There have been some really awesome grabs these last several hundred(!!!!) pages I've missed. Not to mention any names, but all the usual suspects, and new ones as well have created an incredible thread! Took some time off, but it's time to post again...hope you don't mind
Samuli....apparently you took some time off as well. Welcome back also...

I left Venice the day before yesterday and I am in Amsterdam again although the carnival is still going on until next Tuesday, I believe.

These colorful Carnavele photos are great!
A less colorful photo from an older 85mm (i.e.Olympus):
Thank you! Less colorful maybe but that's a great image nonetheless..

Joshua, as much as I like your architecture and nature shots, it's the people pictures (and your rapport with your subjects) that I particularly admire.
Thank you very much! I am flattered that you like'm.

Thank you, Gregg! That was my 5th Mask Carnival in Venice in the last 7 years. I am not sure about next year; it was still fun and rewarding but it was hard work and I am not the youngest anymore... .
Not only you are coming back but you are coming back with the a vengeance! Those images are awesome!

Fantastic shot
Thank you for you kind words, Ronny!
Here is an image of a mysteriously "beautiful" mask. Who knows how she looks like behind the mask but for sure, she has the most beautiful eyes of this year's carnival that I encountered.
Its been quiet from me for a few weeks, but I am not surprised to see how fast this thread is developing. And its quite impressive to see the high quality of posts here
A few shots from last night, when fog came rolling in over the area I live. First one with Leica 75AA and second with Zeiss Distagon 35/1.4 ZM.

Exquisite images Joshua. Many thanks.
Did you also have to dress up, I mean mask up?
