Yes its good and sharp, i dont recall any IQ issues with mine but I mostly use it for documentary stuff so extreme corners doesnt mean much. I believe Jordan has a review of it oh his site, worth looking into.
I've been skiing out in Colorado until today. As we were packing up to head to the airport, I noticed something odd outside the front door. A moose was wandering the neighborhood. I quickly grabbed my camera which happened to have the Canon 50/1.4 LTM mounted. No time to change to a longer lens and I got a few shots as she wandered around.
We're just back from an eight day wilderness hiking trip in the Aspiring National Park, southern NZ. We were very fortunate to get one of the few anticyclones that have come through this latitude so far during the summer(?). I carried my A7R2 and three lenses - Loxia 21, Zeiss ZM 35, and a new Loxia 85. Here are a set of photos with the 85, which I found great both for isolating distance scenes, and for the odd close up of fauna and flora...
