thanks!
i've been playing with the zm 35/1.4 a little bit the last few days. i think it might have a little too hard a look for me. gotta try more portraits with it, but i'm pretty sure it's not the lens for me at least without the pcx filter.
wide open:
f/2:
f/4:
it's definitely one of the zeissiest lenses i've used...
I have been using a recently acquired Summicron-M 90 f2 (Pre-AA, vIII) on an A7ii to photograph my grandchildren. It appears to be a superb portrait lens, rivaling my CY 100 f2 Planar (though I have yet to perform head-to-head comparisons.) All shots taken at f2.4 or 2.8.
^^Very nice images Rob, the colours are great, and he skin tones even better!
Ive been working way too much in recent weeks, but today I had the chance to take a day off. Sadly, the weather was not at its best, to put it mildly. Fog, flat light and very uninspiring. But it was still a joy to get out of the office for some time and enjoy the peacefulness that nature has to offer. And it was great to just sit there and listen to the multifuel heating up the water for my lunch. Will be better in late March when I am heading up to Lofoten for a week
All images taken with Leica Summicron 75 AA, first two at f8 and the last at f2.8.

Yes, indeed! This was a 64-image blend. I exposed for highlights and had lots of latitude in my shadow recovery.
Have are you liking the SR app?
Cool, thought so, with the slower shutter speed but the LE overall final result.
Me, I only recently got the SR app installed after months of frustration with it, and I have yet to use it where it actually did much for me. Not because it didn't work...the scene didn't work for LE. In my tests, I was amazed at the lack of noise that Fred talks about in the files...so, I am looking forward to putting it to use...a trip to Chicago next week will hopefully result in a chance to use it.

Yes, I remember you mentioned the challenges of installing it...they need to do a better job with their PlayMemories interface...
Enjoy Chicago - Adler Planetarium has a nice skyline view that may be amenable to LE.

They make it very hard to take your money...which is not a good concept IMO...
Adler Planetarium is on the shot list, as is North Ave Beach...I have been once before but didn't get to hit those spots...I am overdue for a photo weekend...
