I went out to shoot fallen leaves on the roads - for a local government competition highlighting the romantic aura of the former French Concession .. except the road sweepers (and there are many) had swept them all up !
So not to worry I indulged a former passion ... a little street shooting. All A7rii & Cosina 55/1.2
If it's too cold to sit outside many of the cafes in this area just throw open the windows ! The girl on the right is telling her friend "don't look now - there is a foreigner taking our photo - the girl on the left looked, laughed and waved. Nice !
Or of course you could actually sit outside regardless - even if only enjoying the display.
Or maybe have a facial ?
Or just sit outside your home (more room) for a quick chat n surf ?
I ended up at Yu Yuan (Yu Gardens) one of the most famous tourist locations in Shanghai. This family didn't notice me taking their shot even though down on one knee just 2 metres away. They enjoyed the shot when I showed them though
Finally, I went through all the files of exotic birds, mostly hummingbirds and quetzals from Costa Rica and it is time to shift the attention to more mundane birds, such as macaws and cockatoos. Here are two that I just processed and yes, they are from last July, 5 months ago . I hope you like'm.
I didn't much shooting today so instead, worked on image selection for my 2017 Calendar. I decided to make it a calendar dedicated to Lake Minnetonka here in Minnesota. It's been the most shot subject all year long! The first print order has been placed!

I took the A7Rii to Panama, it saw little use while the RX100v was constantly seeing action. The overall trip was Canon-for the Harpie I needed longer glass, but while hanging out in camp I did play with a hummer and the 70-300G on the a7Rii-
Jack, great work. Love the vibrant colors in the cheering up shot.
Ronny, mesmerizing Iceland shots.
Joshua, beautiful fauna series from CR.
Bob, great picks for the calendar.
Thank you! I need to test that but from reviews I've seen, the lens performs fine. It is prone to some flare but contrast and sharpness hold up. I will report back on my own testing.

This image looks great! Overall thoughts on this lens? How is it shooting straight into the sun?

Very cool shot. Glad to see another Laowa 12mm owner posting.
Likewise, It's a nice lens, I especially like it in the forest as you'll see from some of my previous shots. Still good indoors though I need alot more practise there than outdoors.
