If the Leica Elmarit-R 28/2.8 II had these sunstars, I would get it without thinking!
Yes, that's the only downside to that lens. And with the ZM35/1.4 in the bag, I'm not sure how long the Leica will remain in the stable. And yet, it's too nice to part with . . .

I currently don't have a 28mm lens. I am doing big jumps: 12, 21, 35, 85. These are my favorite focal lengths and I just make it work. My life is easier now.
When I need in-between FLs for whatever reason, I just use my 16-35/4 zoom.
Two images of two different specimens of the dart poison frog, also known as the blue jeans frog from Costa Rica. The first one shows the reason of the name. The fairly common frog is found quite often in those mushrooms as in the second image.

That's my issue. I get lenses with smaller gaps, then decide to part with some that I don't think I need. Then, GAS. Right now it's 10, 15, 21, 28, 35, 40, 50, 85, 90, 100 with a couple of zooms along the way. The 10 and 15 may give way to a 12. The 28 may go. Then I need to decide what to do at the long end. But the journey is way fun!
You didn't get acosted by a guard for taking photos of the David? I only got one shot off before someone got in my face and pointed out a sign hidden in the corner about no photographs! Hahaha...

My one shot came out great, though!

No issue at all. I did not even think about using a tripod, but no one said a word about this pictures. I have taken pics once before--two years ago--also with no issues.

Yes this was a little close for comfort when it came to camera safety, sitting down in the sand, using my elbows & knees as a makeshift tripod with the A7R2 & Batis 18mm. I got soaked but I got the camera above my head before water got it.
