You really did get some fabulous skies out there.
We got lucky....
Two images from Bryce Canyon using GM 70-200 plus 1.4X TC for some compressed effect. The colors of the formation are so intense, especially when the sun was fairly low that I had to lower the saturation levels a bit but still...

Joshua, fantastic shots! So crisp and detailed. How is the GM 70-200 to travel with?
Thank you, Alfredo! It is on the heavy side, there is no way of denying it. Although I love the results but on longer hikes, especially going up the dunes in Death Valley and at White Pocket during the trip, I left both the GM 70-200mm lens and TC in the car since I didn't anticipate of using them. At Bryce Canyon I used this lens with and without the 1.4X TC a fair amount though. I had and always took the GM 24-70mm that I can use to get some compression effect at 70mm on all outings.

Joshua -- So many great shots in this series on the canyonlands.
Thank you, Jim, Well, it is easy to do if you go to scenic spots but that is very kind of you.
Here is another image from Death Valley but it represents a semi abstract rendition between shaded and lit areas of mounds and trough of the dunes while the sun was pretty low. I converted this image into B$W and post both here. At the end, I prefer the color version better. Which version do you prefer?
No Canyons or Mountains around Bristol I'm afraid - but a 100 year commemoration of the Somme
this week and I managed to get in between the showers.
