Some shots with a lens that I haven't seen here recently...
Sony A7 with Minolta AF 20mm f2.8 on a dumb Novoflex adapter.
I don't use this lens with an AF adapter because it has a fair amount of focus shift and curvature of field but using it manually is no problem once I've found a setting that works for me. The Lightroom profile for the Sony SAL 20mm f2.8 (basically the same lens) works very well. Of course it is not as exciting as a Loxia 21mm but it is pretty good value (I paid less than EUR 200) and it will do its job for now.
All around f8 to f11, the last one is a pano of 3 shots.
This morning I experiment with-
A7Rii + Metabones T IV + Tamron 1.4TC + Tamron 150-600mm G2.
A7Rii was in crop mode for a 35 equiv. of 1260mm.
Manual focus.
Kit on a monopod.
Below 400mm and close to 350-360mm AF works pretty good for such
a confabulation.
Distance to bird=42 feet

Greetings all fellow photogs! It's been a few weeks since I've participated here. Too much business travel and no down time. Plus, this past weekend, my daughter married a wonderful guy. I mostly decided to let the hired photographer do his thing but couldn't resist grabbing a few (grainy) shots during the photo session. My son even grabbed my camera as I posed with my daughter. It was a happy day.
Bob,
Wonderful pics! What a great day to be able to capture this special family moment with your outstanding photography skills!
Besides the wedding, I was able to capture of a few shots of the Calatrava designed Milwaukee Art Museum . . . easily the most photographed structure in Milwaukee.
Great stuff, everyone. Congratulations! Bob. A few shots from yesterday at the Shenandoah National Park. Can't wait for next year for better foliage colors.
