Thank you Ronny! We're driving across the border to Sweden tomorrow to sign the contract and we will get the keys on Nov. 1. Can't wait!

Helena, how does the CV 21 perform on your A7ii? I'm interested in issues such as vignetting, color shifts, corner smearing etc.
Thanks,
Rob
Hi Rob, these are my impressions after a few days with it (may change over time):
-Very good sharpness in the center areas at all apertures.
-It has some field curvature, but less than the 35mm I think, or at least not worse.
-Corners get decently sharp at f/8 when I focus with the field curvature in mind.
-I haven't seen any smearing at all.
-In a few photos I have noticed a slight vignetting and hint of purple in the corners even at f/8, but it was easy to correct. Most of the time I don't notice it. It's much less than the CV 15mm VM for example and less than the 35mm too, I think.
The Loxia 21 is probably even better, but would have cost me almost twice as much and now when I have gotten to know the CV I have no regrets. I would have preferred the CV 21/4 for the lower price and weight, but the samples I found scared me off.

Finally the bidding is over and the cabin is ours! Yay, but what a roller coaster of a week.
Nice weather on Sunday, so we went on a little day trip. The first two photos are from an abandoned mine. The rest are from the old Copper mine town Røros, which is on the UNESCO World Heritage list. First mining activities started in 1645.

Absolutely love everyones images. I get so inspired looking through this thread. Figured I'd finally add to it. This is from my 6k hike up to the top of the Eagles Nest out here in Eastern Germany. Shot a panorama on my A7ii with the 16-35 and stitched it together in LR. I wish the photo could really translate the beauty that I experienced while there. I'm in decent shape but the hike was not easy and about half way up I wasn't even sure if I was gonna make it. The images and views I saw were completely worth it though and I would never trade the experience. Thanks for letting me be part of such an amazing group of creatives! -Neeko...Show more →
Welcome Neeko!
Nice to see after so many pages and so long time this thread still collects new followers
Dan, I love the photo and especially the colors, but just so you know the tree leaves and roadway look crunchy (over sharpened) on my monitor. You might consider trying to play around with your sharpening settings a little. No offense meant, so ignore my comment if you like the way it looks.

No problem Jeff always like input, I used Nik plugins and might have punched up too much

Living so close we take some things for granted. Thanks to Eddie from Scotland on this weeks birding venture we took a break and re-visited the KSC. If you've never been I highly suggest the 'Atlantis' exhibit; it is breath-taking/tear jerking the way the shuttle Atlantis is revealed-def. an amazing yet sorrowful view of what America was-
Hoping to take the kids down there around December 8th. I grew up in Jacksonville and never made it down. Big regret now that I live in the west.
