Bob some very nice images, your Heliar looks very sharp into the corners, mine is nowhere near that good.
Thanks! Yeah, I appear to be one of the lucky ones with this lens aka "Son of Choppy" but I haven't yet removed the hood. I guess I got lucky as this is the only copy I ordered (from Cameraquest) and it has been a stellar performer. At the time, I didn't think twice about it but as some of the others have experienced poor corner performance, I have learned to covet my copy!
Edit: I just noticed that the embedded images from flickr look much duller than they do on flickr. Guess I might think about uploading images directly through here when I want to post...
There was dense fog in central Trondheim on Sunday, which is very rare (I have only seen it once in 12 years!), but we had guests so I missed most of it. Fortunately they wanted to visit the Cathedral and since I have been there several times before I used the time for a short walk-around and caught the last of the fog.
It was a good opportunity to try my new CV Ultron 21/1.8 VM and it performed well, but I wish the Color Skopar 21mm/4 worked better on the A7 series because it would have been perfect for me. For now I'll have to put up with the weight/size of the 21/1.8. We'll see how I feel about it when I have used it some more. If it's good enough maybe it's worth it. (My CV 15/4.5 II is great and I'll keep it, but I find it too wide for walking around in town.)
#1, 2 and 5 are from CV 35/1.7 VM and the other three from the CV 21/1.8 VM.

why not the loxia 21mm btw? it's not much more than the 21/1.8, are you trying to maintain a consistent look across your lenses?
Thank you very much! I'd love the Loxia, but it'd cost me almost twice as much (since I got the CV21 really cheap) and when out I don't want bring lenses where some need an adapter and others not. Also, I currently try and avoid native mount lenses since I'm not sure I'll stay with Sony in the long run, but if it doesn't work out with the CV 21 maybe I'll look into the Loxia 21 later anyway.
Got hit with a bit of a shoulder injury recently. Just some pinched nerves, but kind of limits my movements. So I've been staying off the computer except for work. Need to play some catch up here.
