Thanks Bob, I have to say since getting my new copy this past winter, I've definitely been using it a lot more. So many good choices between primes and zooms now, remember a few years ago? Sony has come a long way.

I have to agree Tim and Bob. I sold my Batis 25 after getting my 24-70 GM zoom but just purchased a new one last week having missed it. I just need to use it more too😀 Chuck

A harsh contrast to all the beautiful photos on the recent pages; Auschwitz and Birkenau (Poland). I don't want to spread them out, so I'll just make one big post. Hope that's OK.
All taken with A7II and CV 35/1.7 VM.
Btw. quite a few people kept taking selfies (with a selfie stick no less!) inside the concentration camp. Why would anyone want to do that!?
Very nice set Helena, had to scroll back and look at each photo several times because each of them have so much history in them. Hope you have more and can share with us

Thank you Ronny and Ole! That's a nice comment, I appreciate it. Not sure if I have any more worth posting, but I'll have a look later. It was very hot and sunny and crowded with tourists in colorful clothes, so I didn't take many photos. Because of this, in the whole time in Poland (8 days) I only took 204 photos, which I have weeded down to about 120.
Some very nice images.
Helena...I like the set, especially in BW, as it sets the tone. As far as taking a selfie...of all places?? Go figure...I don't know if I could even being a camera there, myself. Last time I was in DC, we went to the Auschwitz memorial/museum, and I was in shock most of the time there. You're pics make it look nice...
Jack...nice to see you back!
While doing our train hike yesterday, there was a bit of a Civil War reenactment. Here are a few grabs..

Same place (intersection of Hess Rd and MD-146?) I was there on Friday, and what an absolutely incredible place. Last year it was at a different spot and wasn't as impressive. First time I went was 2 years ago, and it was in the same spot, and similarly amazing.

Tim, I was at the same sunflower farm Friday afternoon but left early to catch the amazing sunset that evening at the Loch Raven Reservoir. Glad I did. I went back to the farm on Saturday morning for sunrise but the clouds were too thick. I am heading back to the farm later today, hoping for a nice sunset in the background this time. I got some nice ones at both sunrise and sunset there in 2014. They were taken with a Sony a6000 and a Nikon D610 (sorry for posting them in this thread)

Thank you! Yes, taking photos felt very awkward at first, but after have talked with one of the staff I learned that they encourage it, since they want as many people as possible to visit the place, or at least see pictures.
Btw. I really like your train set on the previous page!
Finally got out to shoot a bit today. Unfortunately, the waterfalls were pretty dry...just a trickle, so I had to focus on different things. The first shot is my absolute favorite of the day...I love the abstract nature of it. All here are with the FE 16-35mm or the Canon EF 70-200mm f/4L.

On a slightly related note for anyone that knows motorcycles, is Triumph like the European/British equivalent of Harley Davidson in the US
I would concur with Frogfish - at least for UK - I think UK bikers were/are rather more eclectic. The Triumph has had 2 incarnations - original - mostly in the 60's (trumpets) and the later 90's version when the marque bought by J Bloor - The Hinclkley Triumph. The pictures seem to show a few in the Cafe Racer genre of the old style.
The Triton - Triumph engine in Norton Featherbed frame was considered the dogs b*ll*x
