Single image exposed for the highlights. Increased shadows and other tone adjustments in LR CC. Applied perspective corrections and color corrected as well as spot healing in PS CC. Applied several Detail Extractor filters to targeted areas in Color Efex. Bumped up the brightness by using targeted radial filters. I wanted the mood of this image to nice bright and airy. I just loved the chandeliers in this room.

On a slightly related note for anyone that knows motorcycles, is Triumph like the European/British equivalent of Harley Davidson in the US?
I don't think there was ever a British marque that could be called the equivalent of the HD. HD style bikes were not really suited to British / Euro roads at that time, IMO, though the Honda Gold Wing did well in Europe. I rode a Triumph Trident and then a Kawasaki triple, both were great fun riding them in the UK. Most British bikes were typically 'road racers'.
Triumph, Norton and BSA were the big three (in more recent times, after the '60s) though some historic marques have been revived i.e. Ariel & Matchless and a new brand Hesketh from 30 or so years ago I guess.
An interesting one is the historic and renowned Royal Enfield, now only produced in India which I didn't know until last month when I met a group of Royal Enfield enthusiasts touring Bhutan on their bikes (they have only two models, both low-powered but cool looking).

These two images are actually fairly tight crops out of the original captured at the French Estate 2 weeks ago. I didn't like the background that much and that's why I prefer the crops. BTW, those specks on her hair... hm, the makeup artist put them there. So, not dust .
Nice details. Glad nobody seems to be interested in taking a close-up my face, results would be hard to digest for many
Just a few shots from my trip to Jotunheimen last weekend. I travelled with 5 people from Hong Kong, of which 2 had never walked in the mountains before. So we went up a mountain called Heimdalshøe, its a medium lengt, but not very steep hike, although with no trail. Highly recommended for beginners due to the beautiful view (have Besseggen and Gjende behind you the entire trip). We were also lucky to see reindeers! Too bad my longest lens was a 50mm...
Heading back to Jotunheimen in two weeks, this time alone. The plan is to walk from Fondsbu to Langeskalvstinden, a rather challenging and steep hike of around 20km.
First photo with Zeiss C Sonnar 50/1.5 (wanted to see how the lens did for landscapes), taken at f8. Jotunheimen - Heimdalshøe by Ole Kjennerud, on Flickr
Third photo is from the following morning. I woke up early, around 5am, to get the sunrise. Taken with Zeiss Loxia 21. Sunrise in Jotunheimen by Ole Kjennerud, on Flickr
Agree! Ronny. Amazing images. We had a crazy sunset Friday evening, the colors changed by the minutes. I actually had to desaturate the original files a bit, the colors were a bit too strong in the raw files. Just being there to watch the change of colors was a great treat.
Looking at Egg Rock (Island) and Egg Rock Light (and appurtenant buildings and structures) and the Maine mainland.

At Egg Rock overlook Mount Desert Island, Acadia NP, Maine. Egg Rock is about 2 miles from Mount Desert Island (is outside the Park) and sits at the mouth of Frenchman Bay
A harsh contrast to all the beautiful photos on the recent pages; Auschwitz and Birkenau (Poland). I don't want to spread them out, so I'll just make one big post. Hope that's OK.
All taken with A7II and CV 35/1.7 VM.
Btw. quite a few people kept taking selfies (with a selfie stick no less!) inside the concentration camp. Why would anyone want to do that!?
Same place (intersection of Hess Rd and MD-146?) I was there on Friday, and what an absolutely incredible place. Last year it was at a different spot and wasn't as impressive. First time I went was 2 years ago, and it was in the same spot, and similarly amazing.

Nice one Tim. Not sure if we shot the sunflowers at the same location. Mine were shot at the Clear Meadow Farm north of Baltimore.
