He is very cute, Mark! I am sure he is excited about the upcoming addition .
The Canon 85mm II is definitely an awesome portrait lens. I regretted selling mine, especially now that Metabones can do Eye-AF, well, sort of. The GM 85mm lens is also very good though albeit a little slower. Lately, I really took advantage of the Eye AF a lot with that lens. That was the main reason for me to get the GM lens.
Thanks Joshua! As I talked about 85L II witch Charles.K he told me about eye-AF on 85L II in Metabones Advanced mode that on this fast lens eye AF wasn´t as good as with primes like 85 GM and that he used 50L/85L rather with "Auto-Magnify/AF Assist " feature in Advanced mode.
In the next month or so, it is the time of year again in which Praying Mantises turn into Preying Mantises by hunting, killing, and feeding on pretty large animals, like even birds or mice.
In the following image a Praying Mantis has just killed a Hummingbird and is starting to devour it. That happened in our backyard in the afternoon of 2015.09.04.
Of course, the Hummingbirds are aware of the dangers they face in this deadly "cat and mouse" game.
They need to get to the sugar water in the feeder while avoiding being snatched and eaten by a Praying Mantis.
More images from last year to follow as the drama unfolds.
Today we noticed the first Praying Mantis of this season on our patio...

Mark, yes, I still have my Canon 135mm f/2 and Eye-AF feature in combo with the MB IV in advanced mode is not as good as that of a native FE lens.
The last image of your son looks like there were 2 persons in there. His expression as reflected on the window/door looks more intense .
Here is another image of an after sunset at Mono Lake captured a little over 2 months ago.

Beautiful gal and great shooting, small quibble, the 2nd shot makes her look a little furry
Thanks, that's kind of the idea though . I do have another one of similar pose just a few short steps away and her back was not lit, making her back furry-less, actually smooth. I will post that one later. Stay tuned!
