Great shots everyone. I havent been coming here long but already for many of you I only need to glance at a photo and I can tell who has posted it. I cant quite get to a consistent PP style like that but its something I aspire to.
Took a walk around the Barbican estate a couple of weekends ago, brutalist architecture from the 60s not normally my thing but thought it was worth a look around.
First time having a go with the MP-65 adapted to the A7Rii, a bit windy but the Sun was out after 10 day of rain; still used the Nissin i40 diffused with the MagSphere (thanks to Bobby Tan for that recommendation)-

Great images, Robert! Well, you got the MP-65 to work with the A7r II . Are you considering taking that macro setup to Panama? BTW, I used my foldable soft box for macro purposes in CR and it worked great.
Haha Joshua on the MP-65 but it was way easier than on a Canon.
Honestly not a clue on what to take to Panama
Birds bugs or both? EOS and Sony or just Sony?
Sometimes when I hear my joins creek I think something like the dinky RX100iii will just have to do!
This is definitely not my best macro shot. However, probably one of the hardest shots I've tried to get, especially with a 1:1 macro. These golden coloured flies are millimetre's in length and width. These flies are about the same size as an ant, possibly smaller in length though. Also the first shot I'm posting with the sony 90 macro, that I bought about 3 weeks ago.
I'm just back from a 5 day visit to San Diego. This was my first chance to really shoot with my new M-mount Zeiss Distagon 35/1.4. I really like this lens quite a bit. No problem shooting wide open, the colors just really pop and there's nice rendering and micro contrast. Yeah, some will talk of nits of this lens on the A7r2 but this lens rocks it for me.
All are wide open except the last at f/8. Also, all were shot with the Techart Pro adapter which works very well with this lens.
Nice Bob! You came all the way out to Cali, and didn't even tell us? I'm only a 10 hour drive north of SD!! JK...as my boys would say...Next time you're out this way...btw, my Techart arrives Thursday

Pretty nice yourself. I kind of figured you were still far away. Should have let you know anyway. We were very much on the run trying to cram in as much as we could over a long weekend. I'm really tired but syncing my images from ipad to desktop (and of course, posting a few).
Can't begin to keep up and acknowledge all the great images on this site.
Gregg you are getting some great images with the 50 1.4. Maybe get to SC in Jan and hope we can meet up.
And Bob I am only and hour north of San Diego and was just down there on Sunday. Great shot of the city lights at night.
A couple more family pics from the wedding this last weekend. Both are with the A7rII and the FE 24-70 2.8 GM.
The first is without flash at 6400 ISO and the second with on camera flash at 3200 ISO.
