Seems to work well with both then. Helena has also used the close focus adapter plus CV 35 to great effect (spring flowers a few months ago).
I'm sure I can do even better. These images were all handheld. Need to try on a tripod.
Yay, I finally found an A7II for a very good price. IBIS and less sensor reflections will be great to have now when we're entering the darker part of the year.
These are from A7 though, and CV Nokton 50/1.5 VM.
This guy usually hangs out in the pond behind our house. This morning he put on quite a show on our fence, pacing and dancing around. (Also posted on the nature and wildlife thread).
A7rII Olympus OM-200/4.
The Olympus is a good lens, but from jwhat I have seen on the thread I don't think it quite matches the newer 200 or 300 lens. It may be time to upgrade.
This is my favorite mountain in Washington State, Mt. Shuksan. I have photographed this mountain many times and will many more times. These two shots were taken with A7RII and FE 24-70 GM
There are some great pictures in this thread with the Voigtlander 10mm that make it tempting. Does anyone have any comment of the merits of getting the E mount version, versus getting the Leica M version and using it on a Techartpro adapter? Advantages of the latter: price, autofocus and its available now. Disadvantages?

Roger - normally, I would have said get the native mount. However, I just received a techart pro adapter today. I tested it on the CV 15/4.5 III and I must say, it opens up a new realm with that lens. I was able to focus as close as 2 inches away even thought the MFD is 0.5m. I'm very impressed with the techart.
At the same time, I also have the CV10. Most times I use that lens I'm at f/8 or even f/11 such that the entire focal range ends up in focus anyway (a la point and shoot). So, if you want to get really close . . . consider the techart pro and the leica M mount.
Well, I may not need those extension tubes now. I received the Techart Pro adapter today and it is just awesome. I love that you can reduce the MFD significantly. Here's some test shots using AF with the CV 35/1.7.

What took me so long was uncertainty of the technology. It looked good in the videos but what about the real world. Guys like you kept talking about it and ultimately it the availability at B&H that put me over the edge.

Thanks Bob, That adapter sure is a blast despite its imperfections.
I was away for a few days and I missed tons of great images here. Because of the wildfire I got stuck and had to extend my stay and just made it back home.
As previously mentioned, I am truly impressed not only with the image quality but also with the variety of the images posted here. Kudos to everyone!
