Thats an incredible amount of detail Joshua - really impressive!
After a hectic period at work + moving I am finally getting my life back, gradually at least Here is a shot from my new home from the other day. Typical Oslo "summer" weather.
Ole
Thank you, Ole!
Great images you got there . The air in Oslo seems to be very clean, even in the summer.
Here are 2 images of the waterfall at Whiney Portal that were captured using SR app. The water doesn't like typical rendition of water coming from regular long exposure images though. Again, I should have combined this app with a physical ND filter. I will experiment with that next time.
You are right, Joshua. In my limited usage of the smooth reflection app, I do notice that it doesn't always create the "milkiness" like physical ND filters would. Beautiful shots, nevertheless.
My daughter, the actress (seen as Julie Louis Dreyfus' daughter in "Enough Said", with James Gandolfini) Tracey Fairaway (brunette in that movie).
Shooting with M645 N 150/3.5, EF 50/1.2L and 135/2.8SF (no SF used), all wide open. Commlite AF adapter on the Canon lenses. No make-up and minimal retouching in PP (I'd turn it over to a retouching pro if she wants a shot for her new head shot).

Thank you, Douglas and yes, lesson learned!
Great images you got there. I also would like to say that I admire and enjoy your beautiful images from Hallstatt, Austria.

Jim, I saw some images of your daughter before. She has turned into a very pretty young lady and you have done a great job capturing those lovely images. I am saying this without any disrespect.
Joshua, wonderful shots! I really don't mind the texture to the water with the SR. It is subtle enough, yet you can make out the drops of water.
Werner, great shot! UWA are so hard to compose shots with...
Philip, wonderful series !!!
Jim, lovely portraits.
Rene, love your shots!!
Helena, beautiful captures of the Midsummer night festival

Thanks Joshua! Much appreciated! And never worry -- you'd be the last person I'd ever suspect of disrespect. I try to be objective myself, but I am very admiring of such lovely and talented persons as my two daughters.
Rii + adapted EOS 24-70. I abs. love love love this lens. With it you can truly leave your macro lens at home and isn't too shabby at landscape either-
Though I have had it for a few days finally a chance to try the Voightlander 10mm. I hav used 12 mm a bit but this thing takes it to a new level of crazy. My initial impression is the lens is a definite keeper. Ryan

Thank you very much, Charles! The water looks different than what we used to get from long exposure. On smaller size images, like on the camera monitor, they actually look great. Oh, well. Merging the two types in PP, like in HDR processing, may look interesting, Time to experiment .

Owls!!!!!!!!! Wow. The detail in the images and their apparent expressions are fantastic.

Grand Tetons National Park.
Thank you, Jim! That's the power of a hi-res sensor we have at our disposable now. Yes, the lens resolution plays a role, too, of course.
Awesome images from Grand Teton! I need to go back there. It has been 15 years or so ago when I was there and it wasn't even a photography trip.
Here are the last two images of the burrowing owls, at least for the time being. Thank you everyone very much for your "likes".
Wow! Wow! Wow! Take a couple of days off from posting and this thread goes off! Super awesome images from everyone these last few pages. As Joshua put it, this thread continues to impress with both the images, AND the photogs. Really inspirational, and I mean that.

Joshua...Crap! I posted some shots, then saw your post above, and had to come back and edit...Those owl grabs are nothing short of spectacular! Holy crap! Do you think they would be that good on a corresponding Canon body?
