Photo taken at 5:34 PM, June 26, 2015 on the enclosed north side of the roadway, Otter Cove near high tide, Mount Desert Island, Acadia National Park, Maine. Image taken with my tripod mounted A7r and my Minolta CLE MC 40mm f2 M-Rokkor lens, ISO 100, lens set to probably f11 for 1/100 second. Exposure corrected by -0.36 Stops and processed in LR6.
As usual there are too many great photos to comment on, but I just have to mention Charles' portraits of his god daughter(?). Beautiful!
In the Swedish mountains in Jämtland county I came across these abandoned fire trucks. Couldn't stay long because the place was infested with mosquitoes and a smaller (but even worse) version that we in Sweden call "knott". They were quite the plague on this trip! I grew up in the north of Sweden and should have been prepared, but had forgotten how bad it can be this time of year.
A7 and CV 35/1.7 VM.
Joshua - very nice owl pics! Nice lens too....
Bob - great use of the 10mm! Especially the martian pic.
Thank you, Gary! That lens is truly impressive. I had the previous version of the lens before and the improvement from that and the new one is more than just visible.
I just finished another similar image of the same owl but out of curiosity I cropped it heavily. It is kind of a resolution test of both the lens and sensor if you will. Keep also in mind that it wasn't the bare lens but with a 1.4X TC. The previous image was cropped too but not that much and this one definitely more. I still can crop more without any problems but you may be able to see some mites on the owl and no, you would rather not see them .
Thats an incredible amount of detail Joshua - really impressive!
After a hectic period at work + moving I am finally getting my life back, gradually at least Here is a shot from my new home from the other day. Typical Oslo "summer" weather.
Olympic National Park series continued between showers. The clouds and overcast sky gave me the impression that I was shooting with a polarizing filter. Colors very intense. A7RII with FE 24-240mm.
