I arrived in Helsinki today and went for a walk around town. I stopped at the Uspenski Cathedral. The inside shot is a handheld 5-shot HDR, the rest were taken with the CV Ultron 35/1.7
Back from Glacier National Park, and still drowning in work... Still make time to shoot, though getting the time to process is another story altogether. Here are two from a recent concert. The venue (The Red Herring Lounge) recently re-arranged their basement, making it into a second stage. Really digging the lighting!
The band is Gramma's Boyfriend, lead by Haley Bonar, whose name is probably more well known.
Recently rented the 24-70 GM for a trip to Cuba and also had a chance to use it for a couple of wedding the weekend before leaving. It is really making me rethink my equipment for 90% Canon to well over half the images with the A7rII and the FE 24-70 GM. Everything everyone is saying is true. A joy to use with the eye focus and sharpness throughout the frame.
Bob, third shot prior page of the corner of the red brick building is really dramatic. Nice! I picked up an Ultron 1.7 based on your and HelenaN's praises of it. Anxious to get a shot to put it through its paces.
Phillip, love the deer shot.

More from Yellowstone. FE 16-35 f/4 ZA OSS again. Water meets land by Jim, on Flickr
Butch: I don't usually comment that much in this thread (except to post photos), but I wanted to in this case to mention that what stands out about those shots to me-- is that the photography stays in the background (except the first shot of the second post). In my opinion, that's a great thing. A lot of wedding photographers seem to think their work is the subject rather than the couple or the event. But here I see natural colors, realistic looking light, and I don't feel the glass between me and the scene (despite that obviously being an illusion). Good stuff!
