Wednesday night I shot the dress rehearsal for Terpsicorps Ballet in Asheville NC with my A7RII and Batis 25. These dancers are true athletes whose abilities are mind boggling. As I learned from talking to them, at the tender ages of 20-23, they’re already suffering bone and joint issues that will follow them and progressively get worse as they age. But when the curtain goes up and the lights shine bright, adrenaline kicks in and for a short time they experience sheer exhilaration from flying and moving as mere mortals can scarcely imagine.

You get oc lot's of distortion of the body (here the legs and the hat ...).
In this shot i was almost at MFD, but the stairs did help a bit and the strong perspective leads into the image.
