JaKo, I really enjoy your creative and intimate portraits.
dbehrens, beautiful!
Charles, your photos always have such nice tones and mood.
Peire, I too like the pastel look of your photos.
Great work, everyone else!
Maybe you remember my 50mm dilemma during the winter? It seems like I always come back to the Voigtländer Nokton 1.5 VM, because its sharp yet gentle rendering appeals to me. That said; I have taken some urban type of shots with it and while it does OK I think I prefer my CV Ultron 35/1.7 or Contax 50/1.7 for this kind of thing. Not for lack of sharpness (the CV 50/1.5 is actually slightly sharper than the other two), but the gentle low contrast rendering can make it appear slightly muddy at times for gritty stuff unless the light is really good. For people, nature and other "soft" subjects it's wonderful though.
Some examples of urban stuff with CV Nokton 1.5 VM:
Some shots around the OSU campus with the CV 10/5.6. If you're willing to crop a bit, it can sub for around a 14mm tilt-shift, due to the extreme width. Works quite nicely in that regard.
Here's a few that aren't completely terrible, taken with the Tokina AT-X 90mm Macro.
Protip: When shooting with legacy glass on an A7II, set the IBIS for the lens on the camera, not the lens you've been thinking about shooting with, all day.
Still not nailing focus, the flowers were moving in the wind, lighting was harsh (my fault) plus I'm not sure if focus peaking is helping or hurting as I think it can obscure some of the detail when shooting with razor thin DOF.

In the menu system, use a function key for IBIS focal length!! I've got mine setup for Lower 3...especially when you use lots of legacy lenses, like I do!

Finally back from a vacation on Rhodos and time to play with TechartPro AF adapter and some lenses First set is with Olympus OM 100/2 on A7r II, works superb with the adapter... all wide open.. my son playing with old Pentax K10D with recently purchased Pentax 43/1.9 ltd, still waiting for an adapter which should arrive next week
Haven't shot much recently, even a recent vacation didn't net many images due to very wet weather.
This is about the only decent image from recent trip to Suffolk
A7r + Loxia 21
Here are the last images from Bodie. The first two from inside the Miller's residence and the last image, showing the main street on the left and the road leading away from Bodie......
