That zoom has a nice punch, Gregg. What adapter are you using? Does it give AF or just aperture control?
Yes it's really nice! Not as sharp as my Contax 35-70/3.4(aren't many lenses that are really!), but it has 24-35mm and 70-85mm too. It's a slow lens, but it's very typical Contax/Zeiss with great colors and contrast. I'm having a bit of mixed emotions about it right now though. The web images look really good, but from 24-40mm or so, I'm not getting corner to corner sharpness, even stopped down. Not sure if it's the lens design, or if it's just decentered? I must admit though, I love the range and it's images! Great lens overall.
It's an auto-focus lens, just not on the A7x series, but you do get aperture control. The manual focus isn't the greatest, so magnification is required most of the time. I'm using it with a Kipon adapter that are apparently no longer available. But I have seen other brands on EBay.
Hmm, just "liked" this shot Mike even though it gave me a slight feeling of vertigo. Not normally something I suffer from, so must be a very good shot!
Now I am pretty sure these two were with the C/V 35 1.7 (new) but it could just have been the C/V 21 Ultron. I should be able to tell really but I also ought to be able to remember as it was only a few days ago! Oh well, sorry.

Thank you, Gregg! Your images with the new lens are impressive .
Thank you, René! Talking about amazing, your images do not cease to amaze me .
Here are a few images from the ghost town of Bodie, focusing on the dark green truck. The long lens used is the FE 70-300mm and it doesn't seem to have any problems keeping up with its more upscale counterparts. BTW, the cloud gods were with me that day .
Your Oly 100/2 images are awesome. The bokeh is to "die" (nah, spent money) for
This lens is a cream machine! Love it...Thank you Your puppy is growing fast, huh?
Nalah is 10 months now! She's really coming into her character and it's really entertaining! She's a great dog. Our older Vizsla was/still is a type A character, whereas Nalah is a type B personality and is a much better listener!
Photo taken at 11:23 PM on August 12, 2015 of a portion of the Milky Way during the Perseid Meteor Shower in Big Meadows, Shenandoah National National Park, Virginia. At least one meteor can be seen in the image near the upper left third and I suspect the bright streak just above the tree line is a satellite (these were intentionally left in the image). Image taken with my tripod mounted A7r and my Leica M WATE lens set to 16mm, ISO 6400, lens set to f4 for 15 seconds. Exposure corrected by +0.36 stops and processed in LR6.
