Photo taken October 2, 2015 at 4:25 PM looking across Lake Placid from the Boat Launch, the Adirondack Mountains, Lake Placid, NY. More Otus 28mm. Just can't believe how godo this lens is. Maybe the best FF lens ever...
All at f:2.0
Terrific! I am nuts about my 55mm and have been wondering why no one seems to be liking the 28mm...till reading your post. Very encouraging. I'm now even more tempted as I would dearly love to have the same image quality of the 55mm in the form of a moderate wide-angle.
Love the fox images!
Phillippe...WOW! Incredible bokeh with the Otus!
Phllip...really nice Fd 28 pics. What's your impression of the lens?

A7rll and Canon 50 1.4 ltm all @f1.4
Here are some shots taken with the Zeiss C/Y 180/2.8. I don't recall seeing any other samples from this lens. Center sharpness is very good, but corners remain slightly soft all the way out to f11. I love the rendering.
A couple shots with the smooth reflection app. First is with the Batis 25 and the second with the Voigtlander 10/5.6 on the A6300. I think I found the best 15mm lens for the A6300!
Regarding the nFD 2.8/28: Wide open the center is sharp and stopped down it is sharp across the frame with some field curvature. That's about all I can tell you so far because I used it just once and I haven't run any test so far. I have quite the collection of 28mm lenses: Canon nFD 2.8/28 Minolta MC 2/28, 2.5/28, MD 2.8/28, Olympus 2/28 and 3.5/28, Pentax K 3.5/28, Zeiss Distagon 2.8/28, Sony FE 2/28 and Fe 4/16-35 but at the moment I have far too little time to run a meaningful test
Thanks Michael (and Gregg, and Manual, and Gary)!
Michael, you are right, and I will dual post.
As to buying it, not yet. I need an answer back from Zeiss which will dictate whether I get it in Canon or Nikon mount. Over the week-end I should have a full report ou tin DearSusan based on the shots you see here, but with lots of useless prattle as well.
Look at the close-up performance....
