The first image is a more isolated section of the early morning capture from 2 pages earlier using a different lens and the second is some 15 minutes later when the sun was a little higher, rendering a different look. The show was over shortly after that shot.
Some from the past few days. Mostly been shooting at work due to crappy weather and general business, but it's an interesting place, so I can't complain.

Jako: another beautiful series from China. Just because I'm curious, do people bump into you a lot? It happened to me in Shanghai quite a bit.
Thank you Chris, much appreciated!
Yes, bumping and pushing seems common in crowded places, more so by the older generation and Mainland tourist.
It's just the way it is, and I got used to it quickly
yesterday was the first real test I've had with the Batis 85 to do candid street portraits, and I'm happy with that lens. It's got enough reach to let me take shots without being noticed, and I like its separation of subject from background. Here are a few walking around the farmers' market. Last one is my husband who detests when I take pictures of him

I would like to see more from the MIlvus!
No problem
I see what you mean Ronny. I love the Contax line of Zeiss, but the 35-70 is prime range and I like long zooms
The Milvus is shockingly good. I think it's among the best Zeiss portrait lenses with the N85 and ZA 135. I am going to hike today and bring it along, and buy some ice packs for my back
Failure but getting closer.
Using the Venus 60mm and handheld, shot at 2:1 and got 4 shots before he flew. I needed 2 more shocks but stacked the 4 I got in Zerene. You can see a thin strip of my finger skin in focus-
A7II, CY35-70. Took a little drive around to see if the desert was blooming. I only found one of these primrose looking flowers with a big pesky rock in the background. Mid day lighting, oh well.
ETA: flower subspecies is Navajo Evening Primrose!
