Thank you, Gregg! Yes, but I did but this time it is with the 42MP A7r II instead of the 24MP A7 II a year ago . The main goal for me was to go Monument Valley and/or Hunt's Mesa that overlooks the valley. Regardless though, I truly enjoy the experience of photographing the Lower Antelope Canyon that I wouldn't mind doing it every year. You discover something new each time... .
Fun images of the B-Day party, it seems . Even the adults were having a blast .

Joshua - the face in #2 is awesome!
Thank you, Gary! I missed that completely last year...
Testing the 24-70 GM this week. Unlike the 24-70/4, this thing is utterly phenomenal. The limited shots I've taken so far are just tack sharp, across the frame, even wide open. It's too big (and too expensive) for me to buy for myself, but man, the optical quality is awesome.

Hi Jordan -- Great images you've shown, and I'm looking forward to your further write-ups on the lens. Although I'll probably eventually own one, and I'd love to have that new lens, this original Zeiss/Sony is very good, certainly for my paying clients when it is needed. Joshua had a great copy and I've seen a lot of amazing shots he's taken with it around the world.
I have plenty of other lenses I can use on the a7R that are plenty sharp, or have special utility, so I don't really have a pressing need for the new super-duper Sony GM. Taking my top Canon (and other) lenses and mounting them on the Sony is a big step up for me from the 5D2 or 1Ds3 resolution with lenses that can handle 50MP.
It's great to see the acclaim this new lens is getting from some of the best photographers here on the FM forum!
