Tonight, Minneapolis is all decked out in Purple in honor of Prince. Two of the bridges that cross the Mississippi River were lit in purple. It is a sad day for Minneapolis, Minnesota and the rest of the world. Both of these images were made using the Smooth Reflection App.
Photo taken at 7:08 AM, June 30, 2015 near I believe Otter Point, Mount Desert Island, Acadia National Park, Maine. Image taken with my tripod mounted Sony A7r camera and my Minolta CLE MC 40mm f2 M-Rokkor lens, ISO 100, lens set to probably f8 for 1/13 second. Processed in LR6.

Love it Bob! What was the image data that you used for the app? I may just have to try it out. And yes, such a shame about Prince...
Gary - sorry I missed your question. Both images use the custom setting. The first is 32 images of roughly 10 seconds each. The second is 16 images at roughly 8 seconds each. I say roughly because as the sky grew darker so did the exposures during the sequence.
Those bridge shots are stunners, Bob. Excellent job. I have to admit that CV 15 4.5 is tempting, but I really don't like f4.5 for astro, which would be one of the main applications for a 15mm prime in my case.
Congrats on the Loxia, Charles. Looking forward to seeing more shots from you.
Michiel: Beautiful beach scene with excellent tones.
Jako: Wonderful reflections. I'm not sure whether I'd use that wooden bridge, though. Doesn't look particularly reliable .
Gary: Beautiful aurora shot.
a7rii and 85 1.8; I would have loved to have more time to do bracketing, but alas I came back from work and barely had the time to grab my camera, before the sun set behind that mountain range.

Chris, I have the Rokinon 14/2.8 for astro. It's dirt cheap. I save the CV15 for landscape/cityscapes

Thanks!
Thanks, Bob. The Samyang 14 is what I'm using as well for a lack of better options. The cost-performance of that lens is excellent. I'm probably going to keep it until Zeiss comes up with a native 15mm solution (in case they are actually considering that).
Charles...congrats on the Loxia 21. First the GM85, now the 21...wow! Fortunately for me, my buddy has both of those and I get to borrow them👍🏻😊. Looking forward to some Carumba Beach grabs soon!
Last page was awesome, btw!
