wfrank; Urban A7 + Contax G 45`` image of railing is, IMO, your signatura look. Honestly, I am not sure if this is a single shot and if so at that f stop, but the DoF and details withing DoF are making this image popup exptionally.

Thanks so much JaKo, I was hoping someone would notice that mundane motif in this extensive flow of inspirational images from everyone. Much appreciated.

Relevant to this thread, but on the margins as it were, I'm interested in what people are doing with respect to their displayed images re sharpening.

For displaying here or on Flickr etc, do you:

A/ Make a 1-off small jpeg directly from a RAW or TIF-from-RAW file

OR

B/ Use sequential size reductions with intermediate sharpening

OR
C/ something else! ?

I generally just use A/ from my RAW file in Capture One Pro 7, but have also played with B/ using Denoir and Verhonen scripts, or variations of these.

If C1Pro supports auto-scripts, as does Lightroom, then I haven't discovered them yet!

'7th Step to Heaven'

Since I started using A7R most of my DSLR lenses are waiting boxed, but shots like this remind me why I got Zeiss in the first place.

The Sonnar 55 f/1.8 is a very sharp lens wide open center to edge.
Great for night photography!

Taken at a fish tank in a local athletic clothing store in the city where I live. This guy was a show off. In a blow up you can clearly see every scale on his body. The resolving power of this camera/lens combo is amazing. a7r with FE 55/1.8. ISO 250. LR 5.

Thanks for looking,

Yikes that's a yellow tang or what's left of it. That's going to die pretty soon, something in the tank is eating it alive, probably a puffer.

Another shot from this past weekend. Love this red barn. Which view works better? First is obviously a crop. Both with A7r and FE55 handheld....need to go back there...

Charles, thank you very much for your comments!

Charles and John, interesting that you have seen the doughnuts with various cameras and lenses. This is my first time with the A7/FE35. I agree that it must be some kind of posterization, but also the concentric circles must some reflection from the aspheric elements, that are made worse by PP.
