Partially true, but it's still your excellent photo Renč
2 from today, made with a7rII and the EF 24mm TS-E (II) that I quickly rented for a few hours at the local dealer. I wanted to see whether I could confirm the partly negative reports of this (otherwise) excellent lens on the a7rII. I have to say partly yes. Whereas on the 5d II it was virtually flawless, on the Sony shifted beyond let's say 7-8mm the shifted edges become very soft, with strong purple borders. I was somehow dissappointed, maybe it was miscalibrated, as a lens from a big rent store it may be used a lot...
But other than that, in moderate position a good match for the a7r2 - what's impressive compared to the Canon is the sheer latitude of the files... Maybe I will also try the 17mm TS-E.
It was almost 100% confirmed that the adapter needs to be properly shimmed before those WA TS-Es work properly with Sony body. So, I'm waiting for the Sigma adapter to see whether it can offer better tolerances. If not, then I will pop open this MB and stuff something there.

Geez! Someone pouring water to my eye!!! Needs to stop.
The G45 is really a great lens. Mine's not the smoothest focusing, but it's not too bad. Definitely some smearing on the edges for closer distances, but it's not particularly evident at infinity focus. I've found it to be about as sharp as my MD Minolta 35-70 f/3.5 (non-macro, at the time modified to f/2.8) at f/2.8 and maybe a touch sharper at f/8. My PP workflow is definitely going to have to improve though; I need to get better to do these lenses justice.
