First images from my new lens.
I still have to get used to the auto focus since it's the first Sony mount AF lens for me.
I never worried about AF settings up to now....

Since we weren't lucky enough to capture the reddish egret from 2 weeks ago, this lowly juvenile white egret, among others, will have to do at Bolsa Chica last Saturday morning. The same setup as that of the sparrow I posted before, Canon 400mm f/4 DO Mark II and 1.4X TC on the A7r II outfitted with MB IV.
Darrel...Are they watching "goosebumps"? Nice capture
Jack...she's def bored with whatever's in front of her!! The photog, maybe

Hi Greggf - was 'Oggy and the Cockroaches' on Netflix. Sacrificing my children to the iPad (they are best friends with Netflix, have never heard of CBS/NBC/ABC) offers a chance to test out a new lens and get my manual focusing down with it. I like this OM 50. Hexagonal bokeh stopped down is a bummer in some circumstances but I like the look, wide open is pretty good, easy to manual focus for whatever reason unlike some glass and focus ring haptics are great. May sell my OM 50/3.5 Macro - amazing lens (esp. for the money) but this one is better and I got a great deal on eBay.
