Bob & Werner, welcome back
René, do you know those people? Second one has a very interesting expression. Love, as usual, your B/W and I've to say Batis seems incredible... time to sell my Canon nFD 100?
Here my test bench for sharpness... once again I had to reduce sharpening in PP due to this super sharp lens
Yup, super sharp, Manuel. Be careful not to cut yourself . You made me look up that lens on eBay... . But I have too many and I am actually in the process of trimming a few but I was tempted, I admit.
So...I did a thing, and now I have to figure out what to do about it. I kinda got a zeiss contax 28/2.8 mmj to pit against the nikon i picked up a moment ago.
the zeiss has this incredible realness and snap...but also astonishing vignetting and smaller chunkier bokeh. the nikon has a loveliness to it, but is obviously never as sharp no matter what i try (and it's very sharp). I feel for the cats this week. lol
nevermind figuring out why the nikon is easier to focus despite the zeiss being sharper and contrastier (macro and micro. seriously, i feel crazy...the nikon is sharper before the button is press, the zeiss is sharper after. wut?)
anywho...one of Flash, this was the first shot that smacked me in the face with what the Zeiss can do. cropped, but otherwise a camera jpeg.
Nice Butch!
Bob, this grab is for you. While delivering to a house today, that I'm at quite often, I saw this car and immediately thought of you!
