Great samples Gregg! I really like the rendering. The bokeh is a little nervous in the last shot but I think it is still awesonme for a zoom lens of that age. I really have to use it more often for general work, I initially only bought it for landscape purposes.
Lots of lovely shots from the usual suspects: Ronny, Bob, Greg, and many others.
Gregg, I salute your use of the Contax 35-70. I so hated using that lens...
Bob, congrats on your Loxia 50. Who'd have thunk it? :-)

Ok, I understand that. That workflow sounds awkward to me.
I focused it at working aperture, that worked pretty well. Therefore, I didn't notice that problem so far..
A7ii + CZ P100/2 C/Y. I was testing a 6-stop ND filter for a different application, otherwise I don't shoot portraits at f/2. Critical focus is less than the depth of an eye socket. One studio light used.
Photo taken at 6:58 PM on August 12, 2015 of a Fawn White Tail Deer, Big Meadows, Shenandoah National Park, Virginia. Image cropped and taken with my tripod mounted Canon new FD 500mm f4.5 L lens and my A7r, ISO 200, lens set to f4.5 for 1/200 second. Exposure corrected by -1.19 Stops. Processed in LR6.
Two more images from Rome; it is now from the Castle of San Angelo. After taking the first image, I rushed down to the other side before it got too dark and took the second image.
Werner...that's a little different for you! I like the dreamy effect. Very nice!

Thank you Phillippe! I do love this lens. And this latest copy is by far the best one I've had.
No, it is because it is not parfocal; Wide open to focus, adjust focal length, then have to go wide open again, then refocus, then stop down...
That's the beauty of an EVF...it's much easier to focus, even stopped down. It I'll have to agree about the par-focal (not)...bit of a pain, but I'm used to it.
Hi Greggf, I am relatively new to lightroom(or any post processing to be honest), so I am still finding my feet and style. Appreciate any advice given. Below is the same image with an increase in saturation of blues and yellows. Is this what you meant? Thanks in advance, H EDIT: Added a second version
Harry...yes! I really like the 2nd edit. Gives it a little "pop"...great colors.
The fun thing about digital, is you can play around with editing, and if you don't like it, you can start over!! It's great!
Cheers!
Bob... It looks like a winner! I need more time but my ZM Planar 50/2 is already up for sale!
Please....you don't need more time. Your grabs with the Loxia 50,(and subsequent purchase again of the 35!!) are/will/going to be killer!! I'm thinking I really like the 16-35/4 grabs too. I need to rent/but that lens again....hmmmmm

Missed focus(duh!!)...just thought it was a funny photo.

You are very probably right,Gregg. At the time, I used the 35-70 with a 5D2, and that was a different (and more painful) story.
