An interesting story, Ole. The Leica-R 90mm Elmarit is a wonderful lens. Optically, it is identical to the Leica-M version, just the M version is smaller/more compact. I used to have that during my Leica M days. Some folks prefer it over the Leica-M 90mm Summicron Apo ASPH albeit a little slower. You bought yourself a great lens there as your images show !
Thanks Joshua. Really looking forward to playing around with this lens, exploring it's capabilities and learning how to use it properly Some would probably feel that it's a bit large on the A7, especially with the adapter, but I actually think that the size makes it easier to use. The focus ring and aperture ring is placed very naturally in my hand.
Half dome and Stoneman (?) bridge. FE 35/2.8 on A7r2
Not sure about this one. Motion blur at Bridal Veil Falls with Leica 280/4 Apo with 1.4x extender I think. Bit of a depth of field problem in that the tree on the right is soft....thoughts?
Another, same falls, same lens but with 2x extender (560mm)
El Cap, Leica 75/2 apo:
Horsetail falls, clouds prevented ideal color today. This with 180/2.8 apo and 1.4x extender from picnic grounds:

Sure it does. It was a new feature in a camera released after the A7 and A7R. Sony never seems to back port feature improvements like that.
It shouldnt have been a new feature. It should have been there from day one on the A7 and every other camera from Sony. If Sony wants to be considered a real camera manufacturer, it cant keep doing this.
Took a walk yesterday, Kilmar Tor in Cornwall, A7R2, FE 24-240 at 35mm, f11, 1/13 handheld, Fred's A7R2 landscape sharpening preset and a bit of clarity, vibrance, grad filter and local contrast in the sky. For an 'ordinary' lens I'm quite impressed by the quality I can get from it.
Photo taken October 19, 2015 about 20 minutes after sunrise, Big Meadows, Shenandoah NP, Virginia. Image taken with my tripod mounted A7r and my Leica M 90mm f2.5 Summarit lens, ISO 100, lens set to f11 for 1/25 second. Processed in LR6.
Josua...Love your Colosseum grabs 2 pages back! I have a similar shots using the Nikon 14-24/2.8+1D4 combo!

I posted a similar image of the St. Peter's Basilica from a distance before using a 135mm lens. For this image though I moved in closer than before and I used my Batis 85mm this time around. The second image is the exact opposite view from the top of the dome looking at the square and the spot where I took the first shot from near the bridge. It is a 6-image vertical stitch, BTW captured the following day.
