Very good, thanks Tim, I was going to reply with some ram or sheepish type puns but thought better of it. These ewes and lambs are just across the lane from our house so its not too difficult to pick the best light, which helps. All hand held but with excited border collie being restrained with left arm.

Excellent again Josh and you have also given me an idea for this year's fancy dress dinghy sailing race!

Here is an image from a rainy morning of the Trevi Fountain in Rome. Wet and cold and for a change that place was deserted. Well, almost... . I miss my family and I am ready to go home but I will stay 2 more days. BTW, the lens used was Canon 14mmL Mark II f/2.8.

However, most of the photos you picked as examples are either taken on days with more dramatic/contrasty light or of gritty urban subjects, with which I do more heavy PP.
I missed that - I assumed that you used same processing for all.
HelenaN wrote:
With the kind of winter scenes I have mostly shot after getting the CV I only do minimal PP. I guess I have to keep both for now.
Don't worry, one can't have too many normal lenses
Some "lakescapes" from last summer. Seems that I have lost my photo notes from this shootout - look like I forgot ND filter at home as I have used ISO <100 and f/11, but can't be sure. Most likely polarizer was not used, as it would have "muted" the lake reflections. All except 1st were HDR (Adobe Photoshop HDR to 32-bit -> Camera RAW filter).

Thanks, Gregg! You got great images there yourself!
I agree what you said about Charles' situation. It is not for nothing the other half is called "better", right?
