Thank you again Samuli for sharing your thoughts! Interesting to read. Sunny days the difference seems to be very small, but today I took a few comparison shots when it was overcast and then I must admit that the C/Y looked noticeably better. However, most of the photos you picked as examples are either taken on days with more dramatic/contrasty light or of gritty urban subjects, with which I do more heavy PP. With the kind of winter scenes I have mostly shot after getting the CV I only do minimal PP. I guess I have to keep both for now.
Golden winter from before the snow arrived (CV 50/1.5)
Thank you! Glad you say that because that's my favorite too.
For the type of subjects in that post I feel that the CV is superior to the C/Y. Much more flare resistant and smoother bokeh. It's the new VM version.
Can't believe how fast your boy has grown - seems like yesterday he was newborn. Very nice photos as always.

Rene - those second and third shots are simply spectacular!!! You should go back and do a panorama at that same distance and FL. WOW!
Thank you Bob.
My intention. and then with the Loxia.
just everything has to fit, weather, snow and and and.. look Forward
First outing with a new lens.Clear limitations on edge sharpness, but wonderfully versatile. I think it will get used a lot, probably with a couple of primes in the rucksack for shots where I have lots of time and edge-to-edge sharpness matters.
A couple more pictures taken at Dead Horse Point from this past December on the same trip.
Sony ILCE-7M2 and FE 16-35 and Canon 24mmTSII
The last is a picture my friend took with his Drone of my vantage point for some of the pictures.
Greggf: Some really nice work with the G45
Thank you very much Phillip...

The second shot is of a customers brand new house. It faces the ocean with an unobstructed view of Monterey Bay. You can Google the address: 546 Bayview Dr Aptos 95003. There are few houses below in that are ocean front, but not with the same view!
