I used the Sony Zeiss 85mm f/1.4 with LA-EA4 adapter quite a bit and I loved the results. Now, I switched to the Batis mostly to improve the ergonomics/operation of my setup. I didn't compare them side-by-side. So, different circumstances (lighting conditions generate different feel/images but they are both great lenses in that focal length. While I love the images generated by both but the ease/convenience of operation goes to the Batis.
Very good point! I wasn't thinking of adapting, it's just when I shoot Nikons 85 1.4G at Weddings (or my assistant does) and I'm reviewing the files compared to the Batis I get a little let down. In the big picture it's a completely fine lens, and more me than the lens anyway.
Here is a silly shot showing my absolute love for the ziess 55mm. The savior of the FE range.
Sorry for the small resolution, I don't want to post a High res version online just now. I love the way the mist almost hides the third element, the chimney.
A7RII with 24-240 for easy walking in dodgy weather. 49mm f5.6 1/30th hand held.
HHhhhmmm, Lenstagger stopped working for me on OS X. San Francisco ahead of the Super Bowl. Contax G90, a7rm2.
EDIT: BTW, if you use OS X 10.11.3 and Lenstagger stopped working, try changing the path to the Exiftool plugin in Lenstagger to : /usr/local/bin/exiftool - this fixed the problem for me. The author plans to update the plugin when he gets a chance.
It's been snowing all day here in Colorado. Shot through my bedroom window with my A7 and the Minolta MD 35-70 3.5 macro which has not been off my camera since I bought recently on the B&S.
