cputeq: That first whiteout picture is amazing. Must have been a challenge to capture.
Werner: Great use of the TSE 24mm. I like the b&w look.
Ronny: Beautiful green landscapes from Island.
Dave: That's a pretty imposing landscape. Impressive as always.
Helena: The lightning in that last river is stunning.
Fred: Wonderful work with the 16-35.
Charles: Beautiful portrait with the 135 1.8. You can make beautiful portraits with every lens, though. Having had the chance to try the 135 1.8 once or twice myself, it really is an amazing lens. I really hope that Sony eventually gives us something similar in e-mount (and preferably sooner than later).
Philip: The bokeh in those forest shots is exceptional.
Nuno, Ronny, twoeye, ocean2059 and all others; great captures on the last two pages!
philip_pj - are these shots from your last trip to Tibet or fairly recent? Great place for photography!
Peire, Helena, cputeq - your great seasonal images really make me longing for real cold and snowy winter. Helena, you reminded me to switch to CV Nokton for this weekend. Fabulous lens with dash of Leica, dash of Mandler - my fav all around '50'

Peire, I'm envious - still no snow here. But at least it has gotten colder, so hopefully we can go ice-skating on some lakes this weekend. Can't wait!
Another Rokinon 24/1.4 shot yesterday at Red Rocks Canyon in Las Vegas. Pretty heavy crop.
I was at CES for about an hour and checked out the Nikon and Sony booths. No Sony E mount lens news but their A7Sm2 low light demo was pretty cool. They had a nice display of A mount lenses as you walked in too.

Great set Gary. I wasn't aware that the 16-35/4 yields such pleasant 14-point sunstar. With aperture did you use on your first image?
Thanks Fred. That one was at f/16.... This shot was a bit underexposed which (I feel) helps to produce a better defined sunstar. I have a few others to post hopefully this weekend.

Yeah I found the same thing when I did a couple of sun stars a few shots back - underexpose some and just bring up shadows in post, then bring down highlights a bit more.
You can have our snow! I miss the sun - going almost a whole week without the sun here is dreadful! This is the first place I've lived that I actually look forward to summer
