Thank you, Ronny! Your images from Jokulsarlon or actually from Iceland are truly amazing. I am especially blown away by your images from Stokksnes because I haven't been there although I went to Iceland twice.
Interesting response, and thanks for responding Derek. I disliked the mF, flare and veiling, but I loved the bokeh, color, and just the right amount of softness and contrast WO. I think we agree. I had a hard time with mf, and that's what tipped the scale for me to sell it. I didn't have it for a long time though, so sometimes I am curious.

i'm still deciding, just got my first chance to shoot outdoor portraits with it yesterday, which is my primary intended purpose for it (85mm is too long to use indoors imo and my g90 is presumably better for landscape). i love the sonnar look and the colors are quite nice. build is great, but the focus throw is a little long for fast focusing. not sure how i feel about on adapter aperture control or the ninja stars at f/3.5-8. flare wide open can be quite bad, but sometimes that's what i want. perfect amount of glow wide open for portraits, though i wish there was less veilling flare. some wide open shots with it from yesterday: http://c1.staticflickr.com/1/703/23466599222_26377a666a_o.jpg http://c2.staticflickr.com/6/5732/22948077443_398a53cae5_o.jpg http://c2.staticflickr.com/6/5802/23549073796_0256306f71_o.jpg http://c1.staticflickr.com/1/753/23207201989_4d76076999_o.jpg
my biggest complaint so far is that i don't think it's quite as good for portraits as the m 90 cron pre-asph. in some situations it can be better, but it requires more care. it's also a bit bigger and heavier and harder to focus...

I'm in 'sunny' Florida for a few days for work. The Only problem is the lack of sunny. It's been raining but I decided to go out and catch some pre-dawn shots before the rain soaked my gear.
