Gregg, bokehlicious in spades, buddy! I see that you are now selling the 50mm Summilux ASPH. Wow!
Joshua...thank you!
Yes...sold
Life has caught up with me at the moment. With my wife's schedule change, we are now paying the nanny almost twice as much as before!! And, Xmas around the corner, property taxes went up over $1500 from last year, yadi...yadi....yadi...
I will miss the ASPH! But eventually will replace it. For now, I've gotten a ZM 50 Planar to tide me over, and obviously I've kept the ZM 35D....

I haven't posted in some time, but I keep looking, and the images on this thread just get better and better.
Here is one from Louisville, KY on a recent trip.
I got a chance to play with my Nikon Nikkor 85mm f/1.4 Ai-S lens this evening. I took a quick photo of my neighbors driveway to test its low light performance when shooting wide open. So far so good. I'm thinking that this lens and my A7RII will be a good combination. Hope to put this to work on my grandkids in the near future
Here's one with the new m-mount Ultron 35, which I love for this sort of shot.
On another note, I've been offered a Hexanon-M 50mm F/2 and wondered if anyone have any experience of one of these on a Sony A7 series camera. In particular, could I expect it to perform better than my old FDn 50/1.4, which is ok stopped down, but pretty glowey wide open. The other alternative on offer is an m-mount Nokton 50mm F/1.5, or some more serious outlay for the Zeiss 55mm.
Any help welcome!
John
Rhododendron nutallii hybrid - its late spring here!
IMHO there is no reason to say sorry for cat pictures... cats are wonderful and a fantastic subject also for "test" purpose great rendering of the CV. Thanks for sharing!
Manuel
Still playing with my new Tamron SP 35/1.8. This image is shot wide open at 1/60 sec hand held at minimum focus distance. Full frame, no cropping. I wish I had an Ultron 35 with focusing adapter for comparison. So far I like the lens a lot even though it has some weird ring bokeh under certain conditions. The auto focusing is fast and precise with the Metabones IV adapter. The lens focusing ring is wide and has a smooth motion for manual focus.

This might give you some feel for it, Dale, although I don't have the VM-E close focus adaptor so this is just at 0.5 m - not as much oof focus effect, but you could at least compare with yours at the same...
