Greggf: Beautiful use of flare in those Lux shots. The puppy is cute.
Fred: Very impressive shots from Grand Canyon. Perfect lightning and colors. Did you use the LR pre-set that you uploaded a while ago on those shots?
Ronny: Beautiful macros as always. The pictures from Island didn't get old on me at all, but your macro shots are equally impressive.
Bob: Excellent portraits. The bokeh in the shots from the previous page is great, too.
jhinkey: Great capture. Did you stay around to see whether the guy survived his little trip on the ice or whether he took a cold bath?
Philip: Your sheep shots never get old. Great lightning.
Dave: Beautiful landscape shots.
Charles: Congrats on your Batis. I see you're already making good use of it.
Amazing shots everyone!
Fred, stunning capture!!
Phillip, great set of images. I love the richness and depth of colors in your shots
Thank you Chris88 Beautiful shot!
A traditional Holiday drink in my family, served hot like hot chocolate to warm the tummy. Hot eggnog with a splash of brandy and served with a dash of nutmeg.
a7rII + FE 90mm F2.8 Macro G OSS This is a two image stack to increase DOF.
Photo taken August 17, 2015 about 27 minutes after sunrise, Big Meadows, Shenandoah NP, Virginia. Image taken with my tripod mounted Canon new FD 500mm f4.5 L lens and my A7r, ISO 800, lens set to about f11 for 1/60 second. Processed in LR6.
I thought that I could perform a little test, this shot was done twice. One was taken with the 800€ Sony Zeiss FE 55/[email protected] and the other with the 5€ Minolta MD 50/[email protected]. I think the difference is not that noticeable. Test yourself and try to find out which is which:

Gene, your beer/drink shots are something else. The EXIF in your flikr shows a 10 second exposure and flash fired, how do you fire flash for 10 seconds?

Douglas
Thanks Douglas. The flash is almost instantaneous and fires 1st curtain, the beginning of the exposure. Then the shutter stays open for the remainder of the 10 second exposure. I set the camera up in manual mode and to keep the iso at 100 and shoot at f8, it takes that long for a 'correct' exposure. The added flash is more like fill flash to add highlights to the glass, etc. For the flash, I have it set for TTL and adjust flash strength as needed/wanted. I use the Nissin Di700A + Air1 Commander on my a7rII.
Here's a test shot I did with no flash using a 5 sec. exposure and auto iso which turned out to be 6400.
