Manuel
Philippe, René, Ronny, I truly appreciate the kind words...
Here is a portrait of a rugged mezcal maker in a fairly remote area in Mexico. Mezcal, spelled with a "z", is a distilled alcoholic beverage made from maguey plant native to Mexico. See the barrels in the background ? He doesn't speak a word of English but fortunately, his son does. I just sent him a few images I took of his father by email.
Lens used was Canon 24-70mm f/2.8 Mark II and handheld. After a few shots I wanted to put my Batis on but ended up not doing so since we ran out of time...... Still, I am quite pleased with the results.
Stunning shots everyone! It is impossible to keep up and the like button is a wonderful to give credit the many amazing shots.

Bobby, love the work with the "ghosts".
I just received my Batis 85 this morning and I spent about 1/2 hour optimizing my menu settings with eyeAF, face recognition, etc. So far this lens is amazing IMO. It is not too sharp as a portrait lens, and it works fantastically with the eyeAF. I was somewhat concerned this lens maybe too razor sharp as I prefer the more gentle roll off similar to the Mandler designed lenses.
First shot of my wife in the office this morning.
A7rII and Batis 85. I have added the B&W, as I am seeing a very nice tonality from this lens for B&W conversions.
