I am rarely browsing this thread due time limitations (too many threads to view!). Just looking at this page reminds me to get back on here - all superb.
Page favourites - Charlie's jumping nuthatch and that 2nd one of yours René - a timeless image!
Photo taken October 4, 2015 at around sunrise looking at the sky above the Adirondack Mountain Club Lodge (ADK Loj) at Heart Lake, Lake Placid, NY. Heart Lake is the Lake owned by the Adirondack Mountain Club and this is in the Adirondack Mountains. Image taken with my tripod mounted Sony A7r.and my Minolta CLE MC 40mm f2 M-Rokkor lens, ISO 200, lens set to probably f8 for 1/130 second. Processed in LR6.
Some more from the weekend, making lemonade out of lemon weather! Tamron 15-30 F2.8 VC USD with KF Concepts Nikon to E Adapter. Thanks as always for looking! You all are a very talented group here, absolutely loving the images!
Another from this weekend. Got out of the recliner and into the driveway and took this pic. I have not tried doing star/milky way shots previously and don't have any idea what I am doing. This is with Batis 25 at F2, 15 seconds at ISO 3200. In order to get better results, should I be taking a bunch of shots and stacking? Any advice appreciated.

I like these, but just FYI, unless I am mistaken, number two in particular seems to have a fair number of dust spots on the sensor showing up in the sky....

It does, need to clean them up, missed them for whatever reason. Need to get the blower out again and run a few more sensor cleans.
I made it back yesterday after spending 5 days in Mexico. It took me awhile to go back 13 pages and to look at the images I missed while there. Wow, so many great images and I wore out my "like" button in the process. Kudos to everyone !
I had a chance to photograph an abandoned hacienda, the biggest hacienda owned by several, wealthiest generations in Mexico in the 1800s to early 1900s. The original structure was constructed in 1770 but expanded and it reached its glory peak in the late 1800s. Now, it is falling into decay and it is just a matter of time before it succumbs completely to the degradation process by the elements.
A few hours of shooting was too short at this location since there are so may interesting and photogenic spots. The concept was to show fluid motion/movement of a model. I used my Canon 24-70mm f/2.8L Mark II a lot for this session.
