Another couple of shots with the CV 35mm 1.7 (new) on A7R
Bob - Minneapolis seems to have an amazing sunset and sunrise every single day at this time of the year. I think I like these last two best.
Thanks Peter. The last couple of days have been special. Perhaps the change in season is responsible although it's been unseasonably warm the past few days, not that I am complaining. Minneapolis winter is just around the corner.
Jordan--gorgeous green on the rectangle, and nice structure to the photo.
nicoleb--love the tones on the shots with the water.
scluptomatic-- I like the subject distance and mood created by your photo.
Jako -- awesome presence in that photo.
Werner-- I like the lighting in that photo.
Philip-- beautiful shots with the FD 135, especially of the lamb portrait.
Joshua. Those are some excellent shots! That FE 90 is something else, isn't it? I've really enjoyed mine.
Wondering why you didn't prefer the Batis 85 for portraits though (I think you have that, no?)
Haven't been able to take it out far yet. But a couple of shots at lunchtime today around the park. And one at home this evening.
Pretty happy with it so far.
(Thanks Phillip Reeve for the thorough review/recommendation).

Thanks, Nadim. If you stop down the aperture to f/5.6 or so and shoot in a studio, the advantage of the Batis, being a faster lens, capable of rendering smoother bokeh, disappears. For that particular session I just wanted the lens to render more details. Hence, the macro lens was my choice. I didn't take the Batis with me but I almost could guarantee you that I would have not been able to tell the difference between the macro lens and Batis under the same circumstances for real life shooting unlike for resolution testing under controlled conditions.
You're right. And that FE 90 is one hell of a sharp lens. I have been using it for portraits at home for a few weeks now. Paired with the Eye-AF of the A7RII it works so nicely...
In any case, keep the photo shoot pics coming! I know you have more!
Jack...Great ZM 35D pics. Really loved the Gorge series! Very Lord of the Ring-ish!!
Lucas ...The FE28 is a great P&S for indoor shots.
