I'm going to cheat slightly -- The body is a crusty NEX-5N I resurrected, but the lens is my 28/2 FE I got today.
This thing is actually pretty nice on crop -- can't wait to get my A7II on Friday (and FE 55 tomorrow!)
Nothing prize-winning here, but I like how it draws.
Photo taken the evening of August 8, 2015 about 4 minutes before sunset near the top of the Trexler Nature Preserve, Schnecksville, PA. Image taken with my tripod mounted A7r and my Leica M 90mm f2.5 Summarit lens, ISO 100, lens set to about f8 for 1/50 second. Processed in LR6.
Last night were some of the most powerful Auroras I have seen. The whole sky was filled with ribbons, curtains and spirals, constantly changing. Not even 15mm was wide enough to capture the grandeur of it.
A7 and Voigtländer 15mm/4.5 III (the trees and grass have a slight motion blur because of strong winds):
Very very nice Helena! I was hoping to catch some of it here in Stockholm last night but it was quite cloudy and did not see any at a bit before midnight. Had to go to sleep disappointed...
Thank you! Sorry you missed it, but I think I read that you may get another chance tonight.
So glad I managed to catch it yesterday, because in about an hour we're off on a trip, far away from fall colors and northern light... Must admit I'm not too keen on going away just now, but it'll probably be nice once we're there.
No tripod with these which are all wide open, but I rested the lens on various fence posts. It's a gorgeous thing. Even the case is impressive
We will see if I can learn to use it
Charlie,
That second shot - "The Light" - has beautiful tones and is a wonderful composition. Did you stick that on your Leica or use a Nikon with it?
There are a number of ways of mounting a camera to a motorcycle - I had an arca style clamp attached to the fairing of my 74 BMW so I could shoot video as I was riding
