And so many great shots. But when I am 3 pages behind, there is just no way for me to mention all those who deserve it. Still, Werner, Phillip, Bob, Michiel, Joshua, Helena, René, Charles, ...
3 shots from Auvers sur Oise, Van Gogh's last stop in this life. ZM 35 f:1.4
Finally received my Zeiss Batis 85mm to go with the Batis 25mm. I tested it out while visiting Mohonk Mountain House in upstate New York. I really love the feel of these Batis lenses on the A7RM2 the autofocus is very fast an accurate.
Here are some additional images from the Basilica of Montserrat. The first two are from a chapel right behind the Madonna's chamber. The rear of the Madonna statue is visible in the first one. The remaining three are from down the altar side.
Yesterday evening. The scorpion was on an overhang/small cave in the dark. Not something I would want to drop down the back of my shirt. Both images shot with the Canon 24-70L II. For the Scorpion I use what I do most of the time now for shots like this, a good LED flashlight/torch. I get great light, and can use it at ISO160 with plenty of shutter speed. Much easier than pulling out the flash and just as good if not better as I can put the light anywhere I want.
Wow, 12 hours and 2 and half pages of outstanding images.
Well, I did a dumb thing today. As you've seen here, I've been playing with an A-mount Tamron 150-600/6.3 lens. I bought it on a condition that I have 30 days to return it for a full refund. Great! After two weeks, I'm undecided. I haven't had enough time to really figure out the best techniques for handholding, monopod, tripod with the A7rII. As I am traveling next week and the week after for work, I decided to return the lens before my 30 days is up.
Stupid me for not waiting one more day with a lunar eclipse that will be in full view here in Minnesota! I could have just returned it tomorrow! Live and learn. So this afternoon, I decided to try my 70-200 in APS-C mode. Yes, it's only 17.8 MP but that's fine.
