I have a buyer for my Leica Summicron-M 90 ..
However i took it out for a trip to the countryside this weekend and now i'm not sure.
Possibly the light that morning was just great but the images makes me question my decision to go for the Batis 85 instead...
Aaarghh.. Decisions decisions, it's a lovely lens and the rendering and colors (yes i know most below are b&w) are great.. It's not the sharpest but..
But eye focus... With Kids... I love it on my 55..

I recently drove by this area, and noticed that the were packed with apples. On a day when atmospheric conditions were similar, I returned with my camera in the hopes of making a photo that would be an autumnal mirror of Trees in Bloom.
As I was standing there thinking about the photo, trying to remember where I was standing when I took Trees in Bloom. a man comes out of the house and asks me what's up. I told him that I was going to take a photo of his awesome apple trees, and ask if that's OK. "Are you the guy who took the photo when they were in bloom?" I told him that it was.
He told me that he saw Trees in Bloom when it made the rounds on Facebook, and that he and his family really liked the photo. We end up having a nice chat, he showed me around his back yard, told me about the varieties of the trees, showed me his plum trees. The branches form an arch over the bench, extending out in front it more than you can see in the photo. He told me about mornings on that bench, drinking a coffee and waiting for the sunrise. He invited me back next time they're in bloom to take more photos, this time from the other side.
Trees in Bloom was a bit of a love letter to the East Hillside in Duluth, the neighborhood I've proudly called home for the last 14 years. Trees in Fruit even more so, especially after the experience of making it.
We're moving in October. Same town, different neighborhood. I'm excited about our new place, but the East Hillside will be missed dearly.
Manuel, spectacular flowers! I love them!
dgdg, great stuff!
Ronny, as ever!
Plus all the usual suspects, who will know who they are...
A couple from my series "windows and doors", with ZM 35, and more than a passing thought for Michiel's great work. Trying to break my addiction from 135 APO
