It has been a while since I posted something here. I have been busy with work so my own photographing as been kicked to 2nd plan. Have a lot of photos to go through from Budapest and Stockholm. Hope to share some of them with you soon.
Here are a few from my first day in Budapest, with the Zeiss 50/1.5 that I borrowed from a friend. All wide open at f1.5:
Photo taken the evening of August 8, 2015 about 9 minutes before sunset near the top of the Trexler Nature Preserve, Schnecksville, PA. Image taken with my tripod mounted A7r and my Leica M 90mm f2.5 Summarit lens, ISO 100, lens set to about f8 for 1/125 second. Processed in LR6.
More A7RII with 24-70mm lens. Grown to love this bit of glass. Colours are excellent and sharp stopped down a bit. All taken on the way to or around Jaisalmer, Rajasthan.

Really beautiful shot. But inquiring minds want to know. What is the significance of these platforms in the river? And how did the woman get on there? There doesn't seem to be a path to dry land from where she stands.

It is at Gadi Sagar lake in Jaisalmer. It was made around 1400 AD as a water reservoir. I understand that the water bound constructions are used for ceremonies etc. and only reached by boat. This was a local lady who was persuaded to be rowed out to the two structures in order to give a bit of life to them. She was selling jewellery on the shore

Your images from India are gorgeous! Are you referring to the much maligned FE 24-70mm f/4.0 ZA lens ?

Thank you - not processed any as still there and the internet is patchy Yes, the old workhorse FE 24-70 lens that is derided by many pixel peepers but seems to take rather good images despite that! Perhaps no one told it to act badly.
Been an interesting trip - first excursion with the Sony after 10+ years of Canon. Every canon lens worked amazingly well except the 70-200mm F4 when you were >190mm. Most interesting for me was the focus hit rate. My prior trips to Cambodia and Burma had a fair few images that I thought had been taken ok but turned out to have missed - often by only a small amount but it made them unusable. The hit rate for the Sony - whether it has native or Canon glass on, is just remarkable. From a whole day, I might bin 2-3 that were not ok. Eye focus is especially good when it detects one, though sadly only applicable to Sony E glass. Have decided to keep the camera as my main tool, use the 5DIII as the 2nd shooter body and sell the other Canon 5DII's.
Sad news today coming from Zion National Park, six died and one missing from flash floods... I recently did the hike last Satuday.. here are some photos with the A7rII and 17tse..
He he, thank you Ronny! Forgot to say that these are from our roadtrip in southern Norway a few weeks ago. I finally found time for a little post processing and will post some more soon.
