Photo taken last evening, August 26, 2015, in Magic Hour about 12 minutes before sunset near the top of the Trexler Nature Preserve, Schnecksville, PA. Image taken with my tripod mounted "new" Canon new FD 500mm f4.5 L lens and my A7r, ISO 800, lens set to about f11 for 1/50 second and processed in LR6.
Olympus F Zuiko 200/5 is probably the smallest 200mm lens around for 24x36mm format.Despite single coating, sharpness is very good,CA minimal and colours require only minor tweak to get rich. Here on the A7R wo:
and at f11
Tiny little OM Zuiko 50/1.8 wo +A7R
And the last incarnation of the OM Zuiko 85/2 wo+A7R
Just got the 300 & 400 2.8 back from a clean and check from Canon and ready for Football season. Put the 300 on the A7II with the Metabones IV just for fun and to see how it would do. Auto Focus not good but manual focus ok. Just difficult to hand hold while trying to manual focus the large lens. 1/100 sec down to 1/30 Sec.
Super great pics these last few pages! I've been slow to upload lately...life just gets in the way.
Ronny...life just gets in the way sometimes! We'll be waiting patiently for your return to posting!!

Beautiful image on this and preceding pages! This thread could fill a gallery!
A couple of images during last night's sunset. We're seeing the impact in our skies from the smoke of the devastating fires to the west as the smoke drifts high in the atmosphere.
There are some truly superb shots that just keep rolling. I wish I had more time to comment individually but I am typing from a Hotel room in Pontevedra.
More shots from today.
A7rII 50 Cron IV, 25 Batis and ZA 135/1.8. Exiff are intact

Butch, you need to put that lens on the A7r II and you will change your mind! I am impressed with the AF of a few Canon long lenses on that body. I am still not quite sure whether that body is that good in AF tracking for sport or wildlife photography, replacing a Canon camera but, I would say that it is a big step forward into the right direction. I know, I know, it is never ending.... .
Ronny, nice to see you start posting again, buddy !
Here are a few more images from Spain and this time from Toledo. That town is known for its metal craft. Damascene work, the art of decorating steel with gold, silver and copper thread as in jewelry, decorative plates, knives, etc. are displayed in numerous stores there.
As a side not - I didn't have any issues posting images at this size before but somehow my computer got tweaked and generated larger file size than allowed. Either that, or Fred lowered the file size limit . At any rate, if I compress the files, the EXIF got stripped, too . Oh, well.
Wonderful shots again.
Charles; love that emty street shot!
Great work again Joshua!
Reworked older file. I am actually done with flowers. I did so many of them in the past, but it is nice to experiment with those files ones in a while.
This one was done in Topaz Adjust with a winter filter.
No time to go out to take pictures at the moment.
That is psychotic bokeh...but it works for that image!
Some more with the Batis 85. I think these are all wide open. I have to say, shooting with this lens, and shooting mostly using the EyeAF function on my A7 II...man is that a nicely implemented feature. It is by far the best way to nail focus right on the eyes.
Joshua Great images from your trip. Always enjoy seeing the results of your travels. A good friend just received his A7rII yesterday so I'll have to check it out with the long glass. For most of my work, Sports and Weddings, my 5DMIII and 1DX can't be beat. For travel it sure is nice to have am A7II in small bag with two or three lens to pack around.
Plus the variety images and locations on this thread keep the inspiration going. It's all fun!!
There's an old-time drive-in Burger joint in my town that hosts a classic car club every Thursday night. I've been meaning to go all summer long. Well, tonight I finally made. Some really cool classic cars. Here's a glimpse all with the Batis 25/2
