My impressions about last page:
René, Master in B/W
Gregg, Master in bokeh
Jordan, Master in landscape
however, for all others, beautiful pictures as usual ... and luckily Fred gave us back the Like
About Macro I've to say seems damn hard... first one is a bit out of focus but second is ok (third is a crop of the second)... any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
Michiel - French Facades series is really great and all seem to be taken in nice light.
Gregg - Love the DOF on that padlock shot
Jordan, super series especially the first 2. Just a question, which FD adapter do you have? I'm sure my Fotodiox one is not reaching infinity, need to get a decent one.
agentbird - sweet doggy shot, plenty of character in that out of focus rendering
Skuko - Love the sheep shot and the last 2 are stunning, is that from Lofoten?
Ronny - wow, how can you make rocks look so dramatic?
And a big for everyone else, too many to mention. This must be one of the fastest moving threads!
^^^^ Michiel...I like this version of the " Lost Bar" almost as teh first one you posted, well, seems like ages ago!
Gregg - Love the DOF on that padlock shot,,,Thanks John! The ZM 35 1.4 coupled with the VM-E adapter is a Bokeh monster!!
Gregg
A7rM and ZM 35 1.4 (again)
Well, you can't say the A7R II doesn't produce files with detail. Nor can you really knock the FE 55/1.8 in that department. Here's a shot at f/1.8:
And a 100% crop. I'm used to seeing detail like this on a closeup, but at f/1.8 a bit further back, it's unusual to me to be able to see every eyelash.
On the way to Iceland I transited via Abu Dhabi .. so stayed a few days
These were from a Desert Safari trip. I'd really wanted to stay overnight in the desert and go visit the highest dune in the area, some 400m high I believe, however at 50C+ (52C the highest whilst I was there) there were not enough takers for desert camping ! The day trip is fun too though, dune bashing (sliding down dunes in a 4x4), camels, dinner in the desert and belly dancing some of the day's highlights. Touristy but still a fun day out for not a lot of cash.
Tough conditions, no flash, all 1/160, 2000 ISO, F1.8 and all A7 & Zeiss 55/1.8. I just concentrated on getting the timing right, when her head was mostly still or as close to it as possible. She was a superb dancer !
